It's the next day, at Germaine-Tillion high school, which seems to have regained its calm.
But the presence of a gendarmerie patrol near the entrance proves that the situation is not entirely normal.
The day before, the multipurpose establishment in Castelnaudary (Aude), which accommodates around 1,500 students in general and vocational courses, was the target of a bomb threat.
The threats, which mentioned the possible intrusion of an armed person, led to a confinement of almost two hours, around 3 p.m.
The premises were finally completely evacuated between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
“It's complicated on a human level, even if the situation was collectively well managed,” recognizes Nicolas Escano, one of the principal educational advisors (CPE) of the high school, which welcomes some of its students to boarding schools.
The latter, evacuated and sheltered in neighboring premises, were able to return to the establishment around 8 p.m.
“On the way back, the stress had gone down a little,” continues the CPE.
