“I wanted to announce with some emotion the departure of Christophe Jakubyszyn for the Les Échos group as editorial director.”
This email, consulted by Le Figaro, was sent this Wednesday morning by the general director of BFM Business Arnaud de Rémy de Courcelles to his editorial staff.
“I wish Christophe every success in this new adventure.”
The latter has been editorial director of BFM Business since July 2022.
It has now been a year since Les Échos has been without an editorial director.
Nicolas Barré left this position, which he had held for ten years, in March 2023. But the candidacy of François Vidal to take over from him was largely rejected by the daily's journalists in September 2023.
After the work of Mathieu Gallet, chairman of the newspaper's supervisory board since the beginning of 2024, the name of Christophe Jakubyszyn was proposed to the management of the Les Échos group.
The latter should soon propose her appointment to the position of editorial director, which will then have to be approved by a majority vote of the editorial staff.
Christophe Jakubyszyn nor the group Les Échos wished to comment.
