We understand why when reading the data revealed this Tuesday by the Generali Insurance company which took stock of what weather hazards have cost over the past forty years.

The bill, which was 1.2 billion per year in the mid-1980s, more than doubled between 2010 and 2020, increasing on average to 2.8 billion.

But the worst is to come: for the period 2020-2050, the cost should be 4.7 billion euros per year!
