Highlights: Briganti Eleganti (27 March-26 May), the art of men's fashion", sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, set up in the Extra Maxxi rooms in Rome. The nineteenth century was the century of rebels, the story of those who, confined to the margins, made gangs and weapons the cornerstones of a coordinated movement. The beating heart of the exhibition, pervaded by a soundtrack composed ad hoc by Lorenzo Lepore, Luca Valenti and Guillermo Mariotto, is the central corridor.

The nineteenth century was the century of rebels, the story of those who, confined to the margins, made gangs and weapons the cornerstones of a coordinated movement to counter the ongoing political changes.

The exhibition-performance Briganti Eleganti (27 March-26 May), the art of men's fashion", sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, set up in the Extra Maxxi rooms in Rome, recounts that historical period through men's clothes, but among its objectives , also aims to place emphasis on the themes of sustainability and upcycling. The exhibition itinerary, which makes use of the curatorship of Stefano Dominella, the historical consultancy of Bonizza Giordani Aragno, with the styling of Guillermo Mariotto, gives life to a scenography designed by architect Virginia Vianello and created by scenographer Alessandro Catarinelli. The historical research took place in the archives of Modateca Deanna and Annamode Costumes. The beating heart of the exhibition, pervaded by a soundtrack composed ad hoc by Lorenzo Lepore, Luca Valenti and Guillermo Mariotto, is the central corridor. Forty-five creations, two narrative threads. Here are some historical regional costumes, already on display in the Rome Expo of 1911, coming from the archive of the National Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions, which today are part of the collections of the Museum of Civilizations of Rome, witnesses of the "beautiful and well made" from which Made in Italy was born.

At the end of the corridor, here are the traces of a city with space and time in constant contrast, the theater of silent rebels dressed in clothes stolen from contemporary male fashion, such as the narrative anarchy of Michele Gaudiomonte, the rebellious composure of Francesca Liberatore, the experimentation by Guillermo Mariotto, Caraceni's haute couture, Giovanni Cavagna's research into volumes and materials, Diesel's irreverence, and young people belonging to GenZ, rebels against perfectionism.
