A salvo of at least 30 rockets was launched from Lebanon towards the city of Kiryat Shmona in northern Israel.
The army made it known.
Media reported that the Iron Dome intercepted some of the rockets while others hit sites in the city causing property damage.
A person - according to the same sources - was pulled out of the rubble of an industrial building.
The attack - the media reported - was claimed by the Lebanese Hezbollah after Israel last night hit and killed an "important operative" of 'Jamaa Islamyia', a Lebanese military organization linked to Hamas, across the border.
