The Israeli army announced that it had killed "a key terrorist operative of the 'Jamaa Islamiya' organization" in a raid on a military compound in the al-Habbariyeh area in southern Lebanon.
The military spokesperson made this known, underlining that the operative, "who launched attacks against Israeli territory, was eliminated together with other terrorists who were with him".
The affected organization, allied with Hamas, denounced the death of seven of its members, calling them "rescuers".
