The Court of Cassation has annulled without postponement the confiscation decree issued by the Court of Appeal of Naples and relating to the assets worth over 200 million euros of the three brothers Giovanni, Cuono and Salvatore Pellini, entrepreneurs in the waste sector condemned with a final sentence for illicit waste trafficking and held responsible for the pollution of the Acerra area, a municipality in the Neapolitan hinterland included in the so-called Land of Fires.
The goods must now be returned to the Pellinis.
