The Court of Cassation annulled without postponement the confiscation decree issued by the Court of Appeal of Naples and relating to the assets worth over 200 million euros of the three brothers Giovanni, Cuono and Salvatore Pellini, entrepreneurs in the waste sector convicted with a final sentence for illicit trafficking of waste and deemed among those responsible for pollution in the Acerra area, a municipality in the Neapolitan hinterland included in the so-called Terra dei Fuochi.
The goods must now be returned to the Pellinis.
