Customers from Kaufland, Rewe and Co. can soon look forward to a new mixed drink.

Coca-Cola starts a cooperation with Pernod Ricard.

Vodka Passion Fruit, Captain Morgen, Bacardi Mojito – the selection of alcoholic mixed drinks in cans is large.

And another new summer drink is set to come onto the market soon.

Coca-Cola, a well-known beverage manufacturer, has now entered into a cooperation with Pernod Ricard.

Customers from Kaufland, Rewe and Co. can soon look forward to the well-known Vodka & Sprite mixed drink in a can.

Until now, the long drink was only available in bars or mixed at private parties - that should now change.

Pernod Ricard

Pernod Ricard is a French spirits company that was created in 1975 from the merger of the companies Pernod and Ricard, which sold the anisées of the same name.

Pernod originally became known through the production of absinthe.

Coca-Cola cooperates with Pernod Ricard – Vodka Sprite mix will soon be available at Kaufland, Rewe and Co

As “Beverages News” and “derwesten.de” report, among others, Coca-Cola and Pernod Ricard have teamed up to bring a pre-made long drink onto the market.

The ready-to-drink (RTD) mix first appeared in the UK in February.

In April, the drink will also be available in Germany, Spain and the Netherlands in well-known supermarkets such as Kaufland, Rewe and Co.

This allows Kaufland to compensate for the loss of “Purefood” products.

As echo24.de already reported, the food startup is insolvent.

But it's not just Kaufland that benefits from the new mixed drink.

Coca-Cola also wants to use the cooperation to strengthen its market presence by expanding its product portfolio.

According to the market research institute IWSR, it is expected to be an $11 billion business in the RTD category.

This division has grown by 14 percent in the last five years.

But how can customers imagine the new Vodka Sprite mix?

At Kaufland, Rewe and Co. – Coca-Cola brings “Absolut Vodka Sprite” onto the market

According to “derwesten.de”, Coca-Cola is bringing a special version of the long drink into stores – “Absolut Vodka Sprite”.

However, due to the current alcopop tax, the drink will contain slightly less alcohol.

We're talking about ten percent.

In this way, the company wants to avoid the tax that is levied on RTDs with lower alcohol content.

There will also be a sugar-free “Zero” version for all “figure-conscious” people.

The drink is offered in a 0.25 liter can, the design of which combines the identifying features of the “Absolut” and Sprite brands.

A metallic effect is intended to underline the high quality of the product.
