The lawyers of Sean Combs, aka 'Puff Daddy', have accused the raid by federal agents on the rap king's homes of being an unprecedented military-style ambush based on unfounded accusations". The American media reported. The searches were followed in part of an ongoing investigation into possible sex trafficking by the American hip hop impresario.
“This unprecedented ambush is nothing more than a witch hunt,” said one of the lawyers Aaron Dyer. Combs is facing at least four lawsuits from people who claim they were sexually abused by him and accuse him of being a serial abuser. "No criminal or civil liability has been established for any of these allegations.
Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name," the lawyer said, arguing that there had been "an excessive display of force and hostility on the part of the authorities."
In November 2023, Puff Daddy was charged of domestic abuse by his ex-partner Cassie, an R&B singer whom Combs had signed to his Bad Boy label.
The rapper had strongly denied the accusations and then settled in an "amicable" way without disclosing the amount of the settlement.
