The Tokyo Stock Exchange begins the session with a plus sign awaiting the end of the fiscal year, which in Japan coincides with the end of March, and the expected distribution of dividends.
At the opening, the Nikkei recorded an increase of 0.29% to 40,517.17, and a gain of 119 points, despite the correction underway on Wall Street.
On the currency front, the yen lost ground against the dollar at 151.50, and against the euro at a level just above 164.
