The 78-year-old entrepreneur who was seriously injured yesterday in an accident at work on the renovation site of a hotel in Rimini has died in hospital in Cesena.
The magistrate on duty, Davide Ercolani, ordered the autopsy and the investigation file has now been registered with the hypothesis of the crime of manslaughter.
Meanwhile, the Rimini carabinieri who intervened yesterday and sent Vespucci immediately after the accident at the hotel construction site are still trying to track down one of the workers from the companies involved in the renovation.
In fact, it seems that several companies were working with the same client and that one of the workers left immediately after the incident without issuing a statement to the police.
According to an initial reconstruction of the dynamics, yesterday morning a wooden plank fell into the void, from a height of approximately 10 metres, while it was being hoisted to the third floor of the hotel with a goods lift.
The 78-year-old was hit in the head and died today.
