It was nice to stroll around Times Square this Tuesday.
The singer Shakira indeed performed on the legendary New York square during a free concert, announced only a few hours before via an Instagram story.
For the occasion, 40,000 people flocked to the streets of Manhattan to see the Colombian star.
In front of a delirious crowd, the 47-year-old artist began her show with “Hip's don't lie”, a title released in 2006. After this introduction, Shakira continued the show, supported on stage by a troupe of dancers, singing pieces from his latest album “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran”, released on March 22.
The singer closed the concert with her single “Music Sessions Vol.
53”, in which she head-on attacks her ex-spouse and former FC Barcelona player Gerard Piqué.
The day before, guest on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show, Shakira had once again criticized her former companion.
“My husband was pulling me down.
Now I’m free, I can work,” she said.
The Colombian's twelfth album - she has not released one since El Dorado in 2017 - is made up of sixteen tracks: eight new songs, a remix and seven singles released since 2022: “Music Sessions Vol.
53” with Bizarrap, “TQG” with Karol G, “Te Felicito” with Rauw Alejandro, “Copa Vacía” with Manuel Turizo, among others.
