The
National Meteorological Service (SMN)
launched a
yellow alert for storms for ten provinces
, including warnings for possible hail
in
the western area of Buenos Aires.
Specifically, the provinces that will be affected are Buenos Aires, Catamarca, Córdoba, Jujuy, La Pampa, Mendoza, Salta, San Juan, San Luis and Tucumán
According to information from the agency, there will be rains of varying intensity in the area of western Buenos Aires, where
intense gusts, significant electrical activity and occasional hail are expected
.
In addition, it is estimated that the accumulated precipitation values will be between 30 and 60 millimeters.
Specifically, the affected towns will be Coronel Dorrego, Coronel Suarez, Coronel Pringles, General Lamadrid and Laprida.
All of them about the southwest of Buenos Aires.
In these areas it is recommended to stay in closed buildings, secure objects that can be thrown by the wind, stay away from trees and electrical appliances, avoid traffic on flooded streets and avoid outdoor activities due to the risk of impact with a ray.
This storm
will not reach the Conurbano and the City of Buenos Aires,
according to the meteorological models predicted by the SMN.
For AMBA, a cloudy day is expected, with maximum temperatures of up to 26°.
