The supermarket shelves are full of them and the selection is huge: sweets. But which ones can you safely use in the evening in front of the TV?
On a relaxing evening on the sofa, there's nothing better than eating some snacks while watching a movie. According to a study, every German eats an average of 32.71 kilograms of sweets per year. That can be really hard on the hips. That's why it's good to always choose the healthiest candy or alternatives.
Which sweets aren't so bad?
Sweets are so delicious and can really make us happy every evening. If there wasn't this one problem that not only makes you fat, but also addictive: sugar. By definition, a confectionery or sweet is a solid or semi-solid food that contains a high proportion of sugar. In addition, it is not considered a staple food.
So it's not so bad if you give up sweets. It still makes us sad. Who wants to permanently give up cotton candy, popcorn, chocolate or gummy bears? If you want to eat healthily and stay fit, it is best to pay attention to a healthy diet. This includes a healthy dinner before the big snacking begins.
What is the healthiest candy?
If you want to lose weight, live healthily or simply pursue a fit lifestyle, you sometimes have to show great willpower and give up a lot of things. It is precisely this renunciation that can ruin a lot of things. Cravings followed by a guilty conscience when the bag gets tight. That doesn't have to be the case.
Although sweets don't exactly have the reputation of being healthy, there are some sweets that are at least healthier. It may be hard to believe, but chocolate is considered a healthy snack because of its relatively low sugar content. Which type of chocolate is the healthiest is crucial when choosing. But not only that, popcorn or puffed rice can also be eaten. The healthiest sweets in the HEIDELBERG24 ranking:
1st place: gummy bears
2nd place: popcorn
3rd place: puffed rice
4th place: Dark chocolate

What are the unhealthiest sweets?
Sweets are generally not healthy. However, dark chocolate, nuts, dried fruit and sugar-free muesli bars are good alternatives that have a little more nutrients and are considered healthier. There are some sweets that you should definitely stay away from.
For example white chocolate. It has a high sugar content and contains 542 calories per 100 grams. Nut nougat cream is also a real calorie bomb, 100 grams contains 522 calories, and the creamy mass consists of almost 82 percent fat and sugar. Marzipan is also a really good fat driver. With 459 calories per 100 grams, it contains a lot of unsaturated fatty acids.
What can I do for healthy snacking?
Anyone who wants to live a healthy lifestyle doesn't have to miss out on snacks in front of the TV or at game night. After all, there are also healthy alternatives that can be prepared quickly and easily. Avocado on whole grain bread, Greek yogurt or dried fruit are among the healthy alternatives. Here is a small overview of what else is available:
Peanut butter with banana
Edamame
Bruschetta
Frozen fruits
nuts
In addition to this selection, there are of course even more things to recommend. Fruit or vegetables are always good to snack on. Combined with hummus or another dip, the vegetables become even more exciting than they already are. Incidentally, chickpeas are a wonderful snack not only in hummus, but also in roasted form. If you need a meal quickly but still be healthy, you should stick to the healthiest fast food. (rah)
