500 units and commercial spaces near the port of Haifa/Man Shanar, Yaad Architects
A revolution at Haifa Port: The Israel Land Administration Authority announced this morning (Thursday) the winning company in the tender for a 23 dunam lot, on which 500 housing units can be built, including commerce, on the second Aliya Street in the Bat Galim neighborhood in Haifa.
This is a high-quality lot that is now used by Haifa Port as a public parking lot and is right on the waterfront. The winning company will pay NIS 105.7 million to RMI, and another 99 million NIS in development expenses. The appraised price of the lot was 283.5 million NIS, so the winners paid less than RMI expected to receive. Be that as it may, surprisingly, a total of 4 bids were submitted for the tender.
The lot marketed in this tender is intended for residential and commercial use as part of the 'Urban Waterfront Development in Haifa' program which covers approximately 1,764 dunams and is located in the area of the Western Haifa Port and the security facilities, between Navy Road and Terminal The fuel, the quiet beach and the beach strip north of the naval base in Bat Galim.

The urban waterfront plan is primarily the development of the western port as an urban waterfront for the city of Haifa, which will be a focal point for activities such as: tourism, commerce, employment, leisure and recreation, an open public space, a promenade, and all this in combination with a response to areas and bordering factors, including the security system and the port.
Yaakov Quint, director of the Israel Land Authority: "I congratulate the success of the tender for the complex where about 500 units will be built next to commercial areas on the sea front in Haifa. Rami will continue to promote residential and commercial tenders that provide diverse housing solutions in Haifa in general and the seafront in particular, which attract a new - growing population to the seafront, leveraging the community and local businesses and helping to create in the parts of the port that have been copied a bustling and renewed urban environment."
