Italy conquers the Top Ten of the Bocuse d'Or Europe, the largest cooking competition in the world, created in 1987 by chef Paul Bocuse. In the Spektrum Arena in Trondheim, Norway, the Italian team won seventh place, with a highly international team: the Italian-Argentine Marcelino Gòmez, the Danish commis Benjamin S›rensen and the Italian coach Alessandro Bergamo, under the supervision of Lorenzo Alessio. It is the highest placing ever achieved by the Italian team since 2001 (the best since Alessandro Bergamo's tenth place in the French final in 2021), thanks to which Italy will be able to access the world finals in Lyon in January 2025.
A seventh place which confirms the effectiveness of the collaboration between the Bocuse d'Or Italia Academy and the Italian Chefs Federation. Twelve months of training carried out between Argentina and Cast Alimenti of Brescia, thanks to which Marcelino Gòmez and his team reached this goal.
