Actress Mindy Kaling opened the evening at Radio City Hall in New York for the fundraiser in favor of Joe Biden by joking about the age of the US president and the other two protagonists of the evening, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
"I'm getting older, but compared to them I look like one of the actresses from the cast of 'Euphoria'", said Kaling, referring to the famous American TV series which tells the story of a group of teenagers.
"It's nice to be among so many rich people", added the director and author, joking about the fact that everyone supports a president who "explicitly promises to raise taxes". “The reason we're here is to re-elect Joe Biden,” she concluded.
