While Kensington Palace is just recovering from a controversy over a doctored photo of Kate and her children for Mother's Day, a photo agency claims that another photo taken at Balmoral with Queen Elizabeth II before her death could he too can be manipulated.

At first glance, this is a fairly banal cliché. We see Queen Elizabeth II smiling, sitting in the middle of two of her grandchildren, Lady Louise (20 years old) and her brother James (16 years old) in the last shot and almost all of her great-grandchildren: Mia ( 10 years old) and Lucas Tindall (2 years old) to his right, Savannah Philipps (13 years old) to his left and Lena Tindall (5 years old), Prince George (10 years old), Princess Charlotte (8 years old), Isla Philipps ( 11 years old) and Prince Louis (5 years old) behind her.

that after "examining the image in question", it confirms that it was "digitally enhanced at the source".
This photo taken at Balmoral in the summer of 2022 was posted on the Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales on April 21, 2023, to celebrate what would have been Queen Elizabeth II's 97th birthday.
Several “inconsistencies” noted
The photo agency notably noticed several inconsistencies in the photo, including a vertical line on the queen's skirt which does not match the tiles, the sofa which appears to have been assembled from scratch, a shadow behind the ear of the Prince Louis or even a stain on the collar of Prince George's shirt, details the

Modifications probably made by Kate herself, who spoke on March 11, 2024 to apologize. “Like any amateur photographer, I sometimes experiment by editing,” she wrote in an Instagram story. I wanted to apologize for any confusion that the family portrait we shared yesterday may have caused.”
