"The vast low-pressure area present in Western Europe is causing a flow of humid and unstable south-western currents in our country, causing widespread and abundant rainfall in the north, especially in the western sectors. Based on the available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection in agreement with the regions involved has issued a further warning of adverse weather conditions, which integrates and extends the one issued yesterday". This is what the Department announces.
The weather phenomena "impacting the different areas of the country, could determine hydrogeological and hydraulic criticalities which are reported, in a national summary, in the national criticality and alert bulletin which can be consulted on the Department's website (www.protezionecivile.gov.it) - continues the note - From the early morning of tomorrow, Sunday 31 March, the warning foresees the persistence of scattered to widespread rainfall, including showers or thunderstorms, over Valled'Aosta, Piedmont and Lombardy, extending to Liguria and in the afternoon to Veneto. phenomena will be accompanied by heavy showers, frequent electrical activity, possible hailstorms and strong gusts of wind". On the basis of the expected phenomena, an orange alert for hydrogeological risk has been assessed for tomorrow, Sunday 31 March, on part of Lombardy, yellow alert on the entire territory of Valle d'Aosta and Trentino-Alto Adige, on some areas of Liguria, Piedmont, Lombardy and Veneto".
