Lebanese security sources told ANSA that the attack in southern Lebanon on UN counterobservers of the UNTSO mission was launched by a drone that followed the convoy of two vehicles displaying United Nations insignia.
"The three observers and their Lebanese interpreter had gotten out of the vehicles near Rmeish - say the sources - when they heard the buzz of the drone and quickly got back on board the two off-road vehicles".
At that point, they say, the drone launched a missile towards the convoy. One of the injured was urgently transported by helicopter to Saint George Hospital in Beirut.
