The city of Córdoba was shaken by a tragedy that seems to have no explanation. On Friday at noon in the quiet neighborhood of Los Boulevares, a woman ran over and killed her niece when she was leaving the house.
The fateful event took place in a house located on Bv. Rivadavia at 3,400. In that place, while little Angela Macchione was playing carefree with her tricycle in the garden when an unexpected situation changed everything.
Without noticing the presence of her niece, the girl's aunt, driving her Jeep Renegade, accidentally ran over the little girl. She without even realizing what had happened.
It was the girl's mother who, minutes later, upon discovering her daughter lying on the ground and seriously injured, began to scream for help.
In a frantic attempt to save Angela's life, her mother and aunt rushed her to the Elpidio Torres Hospital. However, doctors' efforts to stabilize her were unsuccessful.
The girl was then taken to Children's Hospital with severe head trauma and other serious injuries, but sadly, she died minutes later.
The case was classified, for now, as death due to doubtful causes.
