He came to show his support for the police this Easter weekend. Traveling to Pontoise (Val-d'Oise), the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin affirmed this Sunday morning that 13,500 police officers, gendarmes and soldiers were mobilized in 4,350 places of worship "Christian, Protestant and Catholic" in the the whole country. They will be present until Monday.

“Freedom of religion does not exist if there is no security,” insisted the Minister of the Interior, in a context of tense terrorist threat.
