Avocados don't just taste good - you can mix an oil from their pit that can act as a natural anti-aging agent against wrinkles.

Even if avocados are controversial from an ecological point of view, there is great agreement about their fine taste and valuable ingredients. Not only do they contribute to health through food, the vitamins and amino acids they contain are also said to be good for the skin. Therefore, avocado (seed) oil is contained in numerous care products. If you have a Thermomix or other powerful mixer, you can easily make the exclusive oil yourself. And use the kernels to make the perfect use of leftovers.

Antioxidants such as vitamin E are considered anti-aging agents for the skin because they protect cells from free radicals and thus against premature skin aging. There is plenty of it in avocado seeds. The oil is also said to give hair shine and reduce dandruff.

The TikToker Elvira Flohr therefore came up with the idea of using beauty leftovers and shows on her blog

flohrsmixwelt

how to prepare avocado seed oil for the skin yourself. For a small bottle of oil, do the following:

  • Place 2 avocado seeds in the mixing bowl of the Thermomix and chop for 5 seconds/speed 6. Add 100 ml cold-pressed almond oil and heat for 4 mins/40°/speed 1.

  • Let the mixture steep for 2 hours and then pour it through a cloth into a sieve. Pour the oil into a bottle. Apply to cleansed face as needed.

If you like, you can add 10 drops of vitamin E to the oil at the end, but since the ingredients already contain a lot of vitamin E and this is retained through heating, this is actually not necessary.
