Russia reported drone attacks on factories in Tatarstan, more than 1,100 kilometers from Ukraine, and said some people were injured. “Drone attacks took place on factories in Tatarstan, in Lelabuga and Nijnekamsk,”
the press service of Tatar leader Rustam Minnikhanov said on Telegram.
The latest budget from the Republic's Ministry of Health, cited by the Ria Novosti agency, speaks of 13 injured people, all students, in the bombings, which hit the dormitory of the Alabuga Polytechnic in the city of Yelabuga.
A drone attack also caused a fire in an oil refinery in Nijnekamsk during the night. A representative of the Russian emergency services, quoted by Ria Novosti, said that despite the attack the flames would have been put out in 20 minutes and the production process would not have been interrupted.
Tass, a Russian state news agency (like Ria Novosti), instead claims that according to the authorities the drone would have been neutralized by electronic defense systems, without exploding.
It would be the deepest air attack carried out by the Ukrainians in Russian territory since the beginning of the war.
