Thousands of tourists who chose to return from the Atlantic Coast one day before the end of the extra long weekend, which included the holidays for Easter and Veteran's Day and those who fell in the Malvinas War, met this Monday with
significant delays and long lines of cars
, mainly on
Route 2
that was collapsed.
“On #Highway2 #Traffic is intense in the direction of CABA,” AUBASA reported minutes before 11 p.m. AUBASA. The management company of the Atlantic Corridor indicated on its social networks that
the same situation was being experienced on Route 11
, in the same direction.
On social networks, users reported that
the vehicles moved at a man's pace
and spoke of
trips lasting up to 10 and 11 hours
to get from the Atlantic Coast to the City of Buenos Aires and surrounding areas.
They also blamed those who used the shoulder to overtake and, in that direction, questioned the lack of police controls.
