The session on the stock exchanges in Europe begins with caution but after a few moments the indices turn into positive territory. Paris opens with the Cac-40 index down by 0.12% but then reverses course and rises by 0.21%; Frankfurt appreciated at 0.24% unchanged, London opened up by 0.39% and then strengthened by 0.5 percent.
Gains were supported by purchases of mining and energy stocks. UBS is in the spotlight as it announced the start of a new share buyback of up to 2 billion starting from 2024.
