The Gugelhupf is a classic in grandma's bakery - it comes in different versions. Try the sweet potato gugelhupf. Fluffy, light and delicious.
Juicy, buttery, yolk yellow. The Gugelhupf is considered the king of cakes. It is the epitome of a Sunday breakfast and should not be missing from any coffee table. Whether it's a juicy poppy seed marzipan cake in a Gugelhupf pan, the somewhat unusual Almdudler cake or the marble cake in the low-carb version. Bundt cakes come in a variety of variations. But how about a potato bundt cake? The traditional recipe from Austria impresses with its loose, fluffy dough. Grated almonds, cinnamon and melted chocolate give the cake a wonderful aroma. 250g butter
200g sugar
4 eggs
100g softened chocolate
200 g potatoes (boiled, peeled)
50 g ground almonds
200 g spelled flour
1 pack of baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
125 ml milk

Potato Bundt Cake: How to prepare it successfully
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a Bundt cake tin with butter.
Mix the butter and sugar with the egg yolks until fluffy, add the softened chocolate and mix well. Press the cooked and peeled potatoes and mix in the mixture. Mix the ground almonds, flour and baking powder and stir in.
Add cinnamon and milk and mix well. Beat the egg whites into egg whites and fold in carefully.
Pour the dough into the mold and smooth it out. Then put it in the oven and bake for about an hour. Use a chopstick to check whether the cake is ready.
After baking, the Gugelhupf is carefully loosened in the mold and carefully turned out. Before serving you can sprinkle it with powdered sugar. The potato bundt cake is not only delicious, you can also use it to use up leftovers so you don't waste food. Simply use leftover potatoes for the dough.
