The champagne will wait. In the corridors of CNews, this Tuesday April 2 in the morning, we savor. As was already the case last December, the Canal + group's news channel ended the month of March tied with its great rival BFMTV, with an average audience share of 2.7%.
On this Easter Monday, after a weekend of broadcasting masses live from the convent of the Clarisse sisters, in Sartène (Southern Corsica), the CNews editorial staff initially frowned. Journalists expected to beat their competitors for the first time since 2008. But the discovery of little Émile's body on Sunday morning allowed BFMTV to catch up with CNews at the last minute, after a day with a 4.8% market share.
