INVESTIGATION. Kassovitz in the world of cannabis
“Cannabis” at 9:05 p.m., on France 5.
This is a document so original that it is unlike any other. Largely because it is co-signed and presented by Mathieu Kassovitz, actor and filmmaker, launched here in a journalistic investigation into cannabis. He raised the question, with director Antoine Robin, of the legalization of this product with medicinal and recreational virtues but psychotropic and addictive. To which he immediately responds: “Not so simple!” »
First painting a frightening picture of the situation in France, the largest consumer country in Europe, and one of the most repressive policies in the world, the two men meet many people involved in the field: consumers, dealers, addictologists, police officers, laboratory directors. To compensate for this catastrophic French observation, Kassovitz does not hesitate to put himself on stage, to play candid, to have fun with certain situations. This is what makes the difference with an average documentary, this laughing presence of someone who, when he plays roles for others, appears as a formidable actor.
