"Israel is still 'intransigent' in talks to guarantee a truce in Gaza and an exchange of prisoners. It refuses a ceasefire, withdrawal from the Strip, the return of displaced persons and a real exchange of prisoners." A Hamas leadership source told Al Jazeera, adding: "Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu still poses obstacles to an agreement and is not interested in the release of the Israeli hostages. He is trying to buy time, absorb the anger of the prisoners' families and show false interest in continuing negotiations".
