Starting today, parents who are eligible to receive help can register. There was an overload in the system: almost 20,000 people registered in a few hours.

A few hours after the registration process to obtain

the “educational voucher”

began , the Internet page enabled by the Ministry of Human Capital was saturated. Parents or guardians of students who could apply to receive the State subsidy to help pay part of the monthly school fee had

difficulties accessing the site

, as confirmed by official sources.

“There are some failures in the system due to high demand. But if you insist you can enter.

We have a record of interested parties who were able to upload the data

,” they said in the educational area of the Government.

Clarín

tried to access the official website “www.voucherseducativos.educacion.gob.ar” and was unable to open the page with the form. Until noon this Wednesday, 19,500 people managed to sign up and 4,500 completed a survey.

According to the "cut" they made in Education,

there were 2,100 responsible adults who completed 100% registration

.

On March 20, the national authorities announced that as of this Wednesday, registration would be open to access the program that provides

a subsidy of 50% of the value of the single-day tariff

, not including extra-programmatic activities, depending on the quota. base (March 2024) for May, June and July. The initiative contemplates contributing up to a limit of $27,198 per child.

The instance that has now been opened is for those responsible for students who attend schools that have at least 75% subsidy to make the request. Those who were able to enter found a tab to select the jurisdiction, the municipality and the school attended by kindergarten, primary or secondary students. Also to load the CBU where they will receive the money that corresponds to them.

Then,

the institutes must “validate” that information

so that the Ministry of Human Capital can settle the subsidy to parents. The Government estimated that it could reach almost 2.8 million children and adolescents.

In CABA and the Province of Buenos Aires, just over 940,000 parents or guardians of students would be able to access official aid. They are those who attend 280 privately managed establishments in the City and 2,800 institutes located in the Buenos Aires territory.

In the Province there are

almost 5,800 schools where you pay to receive education

. But the State subsidizes 1,900 establishments with 100% of teachers' salaries and another 900 with 80%. Just over 800,000 students are enrolled there, according to calculations by Aiepba (the association that brings together private entities).

The Buenos Aires education system has 140 thousand students registered with a contribution of 80% or 100%.

Help will not be automatic or direct.

There are requirements and compliance with some parameters regarding family income.

The first: the fee must be a maximum of $54,396. In the Province, the fees regulated by the government, as of March, have a ceiling of $110,500. It corresponds to technical or agricultural schools with a 40% subsidy. Those are not covered by the measure.

Those that apply for the Petovello plan are those that receive 80% contribution and charge $28,000 (gardens); $32,000 (primary) and $37,000 (secondary). Also those that have 100% subsidy, with monthly payments of between $15,000 and $19,000.

They will receive 50% of the value of the single-day rate, not including extra-programmatic activities, based on the base fee (March 2024) for May, June and July. The voucher will have a limit of $27,198 per child.

In the case of the Province, no parent will receive that established maximum.

In CABA the values for this segment are between $19,000 and $35,800 in kindergartens and primary schools (with 80% or 100% state subsidy) and between $20,000 and $40,600 for single-day secondary schools with the same percentage of subsidy.

In order to apply, parents must have a family income of less than 7 times the Minimum Living and Mobile Wage, which today represents about $1,419,600.

The decision was received with relief by the institute associations. At Aiepba – which brings together PBA and CABA schools – they said that

“it will help demystify that the private school is the elite school

. ”

According to the executive secretary of the entity, Martín Zurita, “we know that families do not want to change their children from school and to encourage the great effort they make, this is an incentive.”
