Highlights: Roman Artichoke Festival, the third edition begins - Fairs and Events. The festival involves over 20 restaurants in the Jewish quarter and the historic districts of Trevi, Ripa and Campo de' Fiori. Traditional dishes based on artichokes will be served, "making the most of - underline the organizers - the recipes of grandmothers handed down from generation to generation". Each restaurant will offer ad hoc menus at the price of 35 euros and tastings at the entrance to the Jewish Quarter.

The Roman Artichoke Festival returns to Rome, an event now in its third edition and scheduled in the city center from 7 to 10 April, with ribbon cutting on Monday 8 April at 11am in via del Portico d'Ottavia. The presence, as announced by the organizers, of the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests Francesco Lollobrigida and the local authorities is expected. The festival involves over 20 restaurants in the Jewish quarter and the historic districts of Trevi, Ripa and Campo de' Fiori. Traditional dishes based on artichokes will be served, "making the most of - underline the organizers - the recipes of grandmothers handed down from generation to generation". Each restaurant will offer ad hoc menus at the price of 35 euros and tastings at the entrance to the Jewish quarter. During the event there will be no shortage of events that will evoke the Roman spirit, with ditties by Alvaro Amici's sons and performances by street artists.


    In the 2023 edition, more than 40 thousand artichokes were consumed in four days. The initiative is conceived by Confesercenti and promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Lazio Region, Rome Agri-Food Centre, Agro Camera Special Company (Rome Chamber of Commerce), Institute of Services for the Agricultural and Food Market - Ismea, Arsial -Lazio Region, Municipality of Rome and the Municipality, Coldiretti.
