If you don't feel like sandwiches and don't want to eat cereal with milk for the 512th time, you can simply use polenta, which was already a regular part of the menu of the ancient Romans. Based on the classic porridge, which is prepared with oat flakes, a quick polenta porridge can also be cooked. Early in the morning you often don't have the energy for a lavish breakfast, so corn semolina comes in handy. It ends up in the pot with milk and a sweetener of your choice, and a few minutes later you have a steaming bowl full of enjoyment in front of you.
The following ingredients are required for polenta for breakfast:
230 ml milk
2 tsp sugar
40 g corn semolina (polenta)
Topping of your choice (e.g. banana slices, nuts, chocolate shavings)

Not only sugar is suitable for sweetening polenta, honey or agave syrup can also take on this task. What goes on top can be decided according to taste. Cinnamon or vanilla extract round off the corn semolina porridge; in combination with blueberries, apples, coconut flakes, yogurt and much more, it becomes a harmonious dish and, above all, a filling breakfast for every day. If you want it to be hearty, you can also add some fresh spinach and a perfectly poached egg to the bed of polenta.
