Giorgio Minisini will not be part of the Italian artistic swimming team that will participate in the Paris Olympics. This was decided by the director, Patrizia Giallombardo, explaining that "the mixed doubles (speciality of the Italian champion, with ten world championship medals and the same number of continental ones, ed.) is not in the Olympic program and that the regulation allows only 8 athletes to be called up plus a reserve for swim the technical, free and acrobatic exercises". Minisini will instead be part of the team for the next European Championships in Belgrade. "I understand and accept the decision - says the swimmer -, now my goal is to confirm myself at the European championships".
