The 14-year-old girl was “hit by a group of three individuals” on Tuesday, including a 14-year-old minor studying in the same establishment. The latter has since been arrested, according to a press release from the Montpellier public prosecutor's office.

“Seriously injured”, the young girl was admitted to hospital in the evening but “her vital prognosis is no longer in jeopardy”, the prosecution said on Wednesday. The attack occurred on Tuesday around 4 p.m. in front of the Arthur-Rimbaud college located in the Mosson-La Paillade district, northwest of Montpellier.
