Kristalina Georgieva, director general of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is the only candidate proposed by the member states for her succession: this was announced in a press release by the board of directors of the Washington-based institute. "The board of directors will continue the nomination process with an interview of the candidate, Georgieva, by the board members. The goal is to finalize the process as soon as possible, by the end of April," the statement reads.
