The Israeli defense "is on high alert level for the risk of an attack" by Iran to "take revenge" for the raid on Damascus.
Haaretz writes that Tehran, "based on all the signals and warnings coming from there, is determined" to respond to the killing of the commander of the Revolutionary Guards. The media puts forward some possible scenarios: "A drone or cruise missile attack directly from Iran aimed at Israeli infrastructure", or "intense missile attacks from Lebanon or Syria via Hezbollah or Shiite militias" or, again, " attacks on Israeli embassies abroad".
The army has postponed the
initially planned demobilization of combat units. The decision - reported Haaretz - is due to an evaluation of the current situation. The army had shortly before announced that it had called up "air defense reservists".
