"It doesn't mean that the worst is behind us, complex days await us."

Israeli military intelligence commander Aharon Haliva said this, quoted by the media.

The Israeli defense "is on high alert level for the risk of an attack" by Iran to "take revenge" for the raid on Damascus.

Haaretz writes that Tehran, "based on all the signals and warnings coming from there, is determined" to respond to the killing of the commander of the Revolutionary Guards. The media puts forward some possible scenarios: "A drone or cruise missile attack directly from Iran aimed at Israeli infrastructure", or "intense missile attacks from Lebanon or Syria via Hezbollah or Shiite militias" or, again, " attacks on Israeli embassies abroad".
