Sixth chapter of the Omen franchise, it arrives in theaters on April 4th with Walt Disney Company Omen: Origin of the Omen by Arkasha Stevenson, the prequel to the 1976 film that started it all. And if precisely 48 years ago Richard Donner directed the first chapter of The Omen with Damien, a very young offspring of the Devil, this time we see her true origins. So we obviously go back to the past and exactly to Rome in 1971.

Here comes Margaret (Nell Tiger Free), an American girl sent to work in an orphanage while waiting to take her vows, but slowly the novice becomes aware of a frightening reality and demonic that surrounds every moment of his life.

An orphan herself, she immediately bonds with the oldest girl in the orphanage, Carlita (Nicole Sorace), who, just like her, had a childhood full of shadows.

The actress herself says of her character: "She is a devout woman who loves life, the church and is very enthusiastic about being in Rome and embarking on this path that she believes is her destiny. But then things start to derail around her . Margaret has always had an internal pain since her turbulent childhood, and this manifests itself, sometimes outwardly. But she is a good person, with a good soul."

Director and co-writer Stevenson was initially drawn to the project because of the character of Margaret.

"I'm a big fan of Alan Pakula and one of my favorite films of all time is Call Girl - explains Stevenson -. I love that film because you can also see it as a horror film, but first and foremost it's a character study. So we learn to know and grow fond of Jane Fonda's character and when horrible things start to happen to her we are horrified.

    And it's true horror."

The cast of Omen also includes Sonia Braga (Donna Flor and her two husbands) in the role of Sister Silva, abbess of the Vizzardeli orphanage in Rome. "In Sister Silva's mind - underlines Sonia Braga - everything must always be in her place. She manages the convent with strength and order and treats all the children almost as if they were adults, but then something horrible happens".
