"The Triggiano affair, if the accusations are confirmed, is very serious. I want to clarify one thing first, the line of the Democratic Party is very clear: we do not accept dirty votes. We do not tolerate bought votes. Who thinks that politics is a taxi to indulge personal ambitions without making any scruple cannot find any space in the party we are rebuilding, here it must find closed and sealed doors. There is something that comes before consensus and that is common sense". This was stated by PD secretary Elly Schlein.
"We have made a commitment to change the Democratic Party - adds the Dem secretary - and we are working head-on every day to build an alternative to this right. We will not retreat an inch on this line and on legality".
"I ask all our militants and administrators - he concludes - to be our antennas on the territory, to defend the principles of good politics, to raise their guard and report any irregularity, to help us keep wrong interests and malfeasance at bay through their commitment and their participation. Fill the circles, make your voice heard, let's do it together".
