No risk for the global microchip supply chain: Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) reported that over 70% of its equipment for producing microprocessors was back in operation yesterday evening after the precautionary suspension decided following the violent 7.4 magnitude earthquake that hit Taiwan Wednesday morning.
The company, the world's largest contract chip maker, said none of its key equipment was damaged in light of the security checks it carried out.
