Anyone who has a dishwasher rarely washes glasses by hand. An Ikea glass exploded after it was taken out of the dishwasher.
Kassel – After going through the dishwasher, glasses, if at all, are dried again and then put in the cupboard. A father reported an incident in which his Ikea glass literally exploded.

According to Valeur, he was just unloading the dishwasher and turning around when he heard an explosion behind him. “It was a totally dangerous situation. Ikea comments on exploding glass – “Often due to invisible damage”

The stress that can cause the glass to shatter could be caused by a blow or scratch. “For this reason, in rare cases, tempered glass may break for no apparent reason,” says Ikea.
