"We have doubled the resources for agriculture. This government has brought investments for the sector to figures that have not been seen for at least 30 years": this was stated by the Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida, in Bastia Umbra, where he participated in the inauguration of the 55th edition of Agriumbria. Ceremony with the president of the Region Donatella Tesei and the vice president Roberto Morroni, councilor for agriculture.
"In Europe - Lollobrigida continued - we went like Italy to remember that this was born from the Treaties of Rome which had agriculture at the centre, as a guarantor of food security and sustainable development of the territory which should not be abandoned by farmers. The sinister over the years, unfortunately, with ideological visions and using environmental sustainability as a club, have bent this type of approach into choices that have often brought farmers to their knees. This situation is being reversed, for example the CAP we can now review as a tool to guarantee income to farmers, when instead it had become a tool to put them in difficulty".
