This is how quickly you can cook a homemade tomato sauce

  • To make the tomato sauce, the tomatoes are first removed from their greens and washed thoroughly and dried. Cut the tomatoes into small, bite-sized pieces and place them in a small bowl with a drizzle of olive oil.

  • Meanwhile, peel and finely dice the garlic and onion. Add a splash of olive oil to a hot pot and sauté the onion and garlic over medium heat until translucent.

  • Then let the tomato pieces fry briefly. Deglaze with a splash of water and cover and simmer gently for about 15 to 20 minutes. Stir regularly.

  • Stir a tablespoon of sour cream or a dash of cooking cream into the sauce. Puree everything with a hand blender and pour through a fine sieve as necessary. Finally, season with a pinch of sugar, dried herbs and a little salt and pepper. Bon appetit!

    : The classic tomato sauce can be enjoyed wonderfully with pasta in all colors and shapes or can be used for numerous recipes, such as creamy Shakshuka.
