The application process is over, training for the job is completed and new employees quit after 100 days. Why is that?
Many open positions and few applicants – the labor market is changing and potential employees are benefiting from this. Companies are looking for skilled workers and trying to counteract the shortage. Therefore, applicants can choose the workplace largely according to their wishes and the appropriate conditions.

First impressions are often crucial - for example, how you are received by your superiors at the interview. It can also be important what the working environment looks like when you are shown around for the first time. The second look is also crucial: it can cause people to decide against the new job and quit after a short time. The
Softgarden
platform found out why this could be
in a current onboarding study.
Onboarding is crucial for almost half of those surveyed
Softgarden
surveyed around 2,160 people for the study between February and April 2022. Almost half (49 percent) said that onboarding plays a “role in the decision for or against an employer”. If the applicants are not clear about how they should be integrated into the company, 15.6 percent have already decided against the corresponding job, according to the survey.

Job advertisement and job don't match? This can be critical
Especially in the first few weeks on the job, new employees measure their activities against the information provided in the job advertisement. The majority (89.2 percent) think it is important that the description fits the conditions in the first few weeks. But the reality looks different, because for only 53 percent the ad matches the activities.
