"Matteo Salvini and Lorenzo Cesa discussed and shared that the next European elections will represent a decisive step for the future of the Old Continent and of Italy". This is what we read in a joint note from the two parties which announces: "The implementation of the parliamentary federative pact is entrusted, on behalf of the League, to the deputy Nino Minardo who, together with the honorable Cesa, will participate in the establishment of the group UDC parliamentarian in the Chamber".
"Also for this reason - we read again in the note - with concreteness and a sense of responsibility, the League and the UDC want to strengthen the common programmatic contents that must be defended in Rome as in Brussels: it is about the valorization of the Christian traditions and values of Europe; of the protection of the family, of the autonomy of the territories and of the valorisation of local authorities, of the protection of employment, of the determination to support development and new infrastructures, of the fight against illegal immigration, of the encouragement of every initiative aimed at peace and of commitment to the country's energy independence".
