As regards Italy's growth forecasts in 2024, "we are there", around 1%, while as regards the dynamics of the debt-GDP ratio "it will certainly" remain below 140%. The undersecretary of the Mef, Federico Freni, said this, explaining that "it is a Def which will not differ much from what the government's forecasts have already been in the Nadef". "Let's wait for the Def and see. I would like to say that the MEF has rarely made mistakes in recent years", added Freni.
