As regards Italy's growth forecasts in 2024, "we are there", around 1%, while as regards the dynamics of the debt-to-GDP ratio it will "certainly" remain below 140%. The undersecretary of the Mef, Federico Freni, said this, explaining that "it is a Def that will not differ much from what the government's forecasts have already been in the Nadef". "Let's wait for the Def and see. I would like to say that the Mef has rarely made a mistake in recent years", added Freni.
