New twist in the Jolie-Pitt affair. The actress-director filed a new legal petition in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, claiming that her ex-husband was violent towards her before 2016 and that he allegedly tried to silence her about it .
Angelina Jolie had already accused Brad Pitt of domestic violence, notably during a private flight with their children between France and California in 2016, according to documents made public in October 2022. Following this episode, Angelina Jolie had requested the divorce.
Several confidentiality clauses called into question
According to new documents revealed by the media CNN, the actress does not go into the details of this older violence, indicating that she had agreed to sign at the time a confidentiality clause in connection with the management of the Var wine estate of the couple in Miraval.
According to her, when she then tried to sell her share of the estate to Brad Pitt, he wanted her to sign another clause requiring her to remain silent about the violence he allegedly inflicted on her.

This new request comes in the midst of the couple's legal battle for the Château de Miraval estate, comprising nearly 600 hectares of land. In October 2021, Angelina Jolie sold her shares to a company, resulting in the actor filing a complaint against her for failing to comply with their commitment not to sell their respective shares without the consent of the other. The legal duel between the two parties is still ongoing.
